To ensure quality and good performance of the equiment it is necessary to conduct periodic reviews and maintenance activities. These activities must meet the quality standards and the manufacturer’s best practices. Through ICSA’s maintenance contracts, our technicians ensure our customers that all periodic reviews and maintenance activities meet the strictest quality requirements

Paraffin-block Scanners
Keeping an adecuate traceability in the sample’s registry can be difficult for laboratories with high volume of samples. Paraffin-block Scanners make easy labelling and recording samples.
These instruments allow the laboratory to maintain the traceability in the sample registry meeting all requirements specified in the Quality Management System.
Dissecting Workbenches
A dissecting workbench is one of the most important pieces of equipment in pathological anatomy. ICSA’s technichal service has over 20 years of experience in installing and maintaining dissecting workbenches. Our technicians have developed a methodology of preventive maintenance that ensures the good performance of these pieces of equipment.
Autoclaves
The ISO 14937 standard explains the planning, the documentation and the performance of maintenance activities to ensure the efficiency of the sterilization processes. Our technicians apply this standard to certify the quality and good performance of our customer’s autoclaves.
Microtomes
The quality of sample sectioning is established by the good performance of a microtome. A well sectioned sample helps pathologists to achieve quality analysis. ICSA’s technical service performs maintenance activities to ensure the quality of sample sectioning. Our technicians perform calibrations on the mechanical and electronic components of the microtome.
Tissue Processors
The main function of tissue processors is to eliminate humidity from samples and prepare them for sectioning. Our technicians perform a meticulous inspection on the mechanical and electronic components to ensure the good performance of this equipment.
Embedding Centers
A well done paraffin-embedding of the sample is the key for good sectioning quality. Embedding centers can make this process simple and effective. ICSA’s technicians know the importance of these instruments and have developed a good methodology to perform maintenance activities that certify the operating state of this equipment.
Ventilated Hoods
Ventilated hoods are designed to protect the operator from possibly inhaling harmful vapors during operations. By checking exhaust fans and security systems and by replacing the filtering batteries regularly, our technicians ensure the safety of the laboratory technicians.
